CSM is kind of white or yellowish elastomer in chips or irregular form with not only the same properties as base polymer but also special properties of itself. It is soluble in aromatic hydrocarbon and hydrochloric ether, insoluble in fatty hydrocarbon and alcohol, only swells but not be soluble in ketone and aether. It has excellent ozone resistance, atmospheric ageing resistance, chemical resistance, etc., also have better physical mechanical features, heat ageing resistance, heat endurance, subzero resistance, fuel resistance, abrasion resistance and electrical insulation.
